Today, Halliburton and Aker BP have successfully reimagined a more agile, efficient, and collaborative well planning and design system using Digital Well Program®, a DecisionSpace® 365 solution. By combining innovative technologies and world class talent, the alliance has significantly improved standardization, repeatability, and efficiency in the well design process.
The Digital Well Program solution empowered Aker BP to shift away from closed and rigid systems and adopt a truly open and collaborative well design environment that unified data, integrated workflows, and easily connected to third-party applications. The operator could also adopt the latest automation and machine learning technologies to improve standardization, repeatability, and efficiency in the well design process.
By accelerating end-to-end well delivery and creating a ‘shelf’ of standardized well plans that can be quickly adjusted and executed on a new rig, Aker BP can now access additional reserves, reduce costs and time to market, and maximize asset value.
