In a breakthrough project, Halliburton collaborated with an operator to introduce intelligent completion technology to Pakistan’s oil and gas. The successful installation in a large onshore gas field delivered significant benefits, including customized flow trims and increased production. This ongoing collaboration focuses on maximizing asset value and demonstrates the success of innovative teamwork.
The operator aimed to commingle production from multiple reservoirs with distinct pressure regimes, reduce the well footprint through optimized design, and enable simultaneous production of different pressure-rated gas streams from a single wellbore.
Halliburton developed a two-zone SmartWell® intelligent completion, a first-of-its-kind in the country. This solution enabled the operator to independently control production or injection in each zone and remotely monitor downhole data in real time to optimize operations.
