Women's ERG improves communities

Every year, the Women Sharing Excellence (WSE) – Africa-Other Chapter (Ghana, the Congo, and Angola) holds its annual “Give Back Drive,” a donation campaign that benefits charitable organizations and causes in local communities. Halliburton employees and local WSE members provide monetary funds, donate in-kind support, and volunteer their time. They collect and donate food, bottled water, toiletries, cleaning products, and creative art materials for children in the area.

Halliburton works toward the overall wellbeing of communities where we live and work. This is evident in various volunteer activities and other means of engagement. We strive to encourage Employee Volunteerism, which directly affects surrounding communities and the volunteer teams themselves.

Ronald McDonald House: "Stuff the Bus"

For Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Halliburton volunteers participated in a "Stuff the Bus" collection for families with children facing critical illnesses at the Ronald McDonald House Houston and its satellite hospital locations. Volunteers in Houston donated food and packed a bus with it. This helped provide patients and families round-the-clock access to snacks and meals when they must live away from home for the sake of medical treatment.

The Halliburton Testing and Subsea (TSS) Europe Team pledged to run and walk 621 miles to raise awareness and funds for Bauer Radio’s Cash for Kids Charities – an organization that awards grants to help disadvantaged children affected by poverty, illness, or neglect. The team organized events in the UK, Denmark, Italy, and Albania and used the Halliburton Community Impact Portal to share the fundraising opportunity worldwide. Combined, the team covered 740 miles and raised nearly $1,500 for Cash for Kids.

Kids Meals Houston

More than 100 interns kicked off their summer internship at Halliburton with a volunteer event at Kids Meals Houston. Local executives joined the group to make sandwiches, decorate lunch bags, sort warehouse items, and prep delivery routes. Kids Meals Houston is on a mission to eradicate childhood hunger by delivering free, healthy meals to Houston’s hungriest children, and Halliburton is here to help.
