Mark Richard

Mark Richard serves as special advisor to Halliburton’s president, chairman, and CEO. Previously, he was the president of Western Hemisphere and a member of the company’s executive committee.

He began his Halliburton career in 1984 and has held executive leadership roles in the Gulf of Mexico, Eurasia/Europe/Sub-Saharan Africa region, and Asia Pacific. He held the role of Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing prior to his current position.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU). He serves on the boards of the LSU Foundation, Permian Strategic Partnership (PSP), National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA), and Ronald McDonald House. He also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the LSU College of Engineering and the American Petroleum Institute Upstream Committee, and he is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Association of Drilling Engineers. He is a 2007 graduate of Halliburton’s President’s Leadership Excellence Program.
