Slurry is injected into all open perforations, so no need for zonal isolation as with standard sealant jobs
Shallow penetration of the filtrate allows for reperforation in the hydrocarbon zone
Unlike cement, the BackStop slurry remaining in the hole does not require drilling out; simply jet it out with coiled tubing
Longer and hotter intervals can be treated in one day, using the time allotted for wash out for placement instead
